Blitzen Internet is owned and operated by Marc Butler of Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. Our lead designer is Eric Pinfold, also of Halifax but now lives on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.
Marc has a business degree from Saint Mary's University with majors in Marketing and Finance. Marc's main interests in university were advertising and entrepreneurship. In 1999 Marc opened up Blitzen Internet and has been busy keeping up with the changing internet ever since. In 2000 he was approached by Lobster Direct to become a partner and help grow the business.
In December of 2002 Marc was interviewed by VISA Canada and the interview was published online and in their quarterly newsletter ' How to Consolidate Niche Markets on the Web.'

Marc was also featured on TV as the part owner of www.LobsterDirect.com. FOOD TV from the USA came up to film an episode of Food Finds and Marc took them on a tour of Nova Scotia ending the day having a lobster feast with the crew. Over the years Marc has learned new web programming skills, database management and server administration. 'Being an entrepreneur you have to adapt quickly to the changing needs of your customers and the changing technology.'
Currently Marc is actively involved in product development with Cartweaver Inc. a software company based in the US.
Blitzen Internet is a home based business with our servers being located up the street in the business park where there is a faster internet connection and a firewall system that is used by the Halifax Police Department. If it is good enough for them, it will work for us.
Marc's business philosophy is very simple, build relationships with each client. There is a lot of competition out there for web related work, if we offer a high quality service for a reasonable price the customers will be interested, but if we add great customer service after the site is complete the clients will recommend us.
Eric Pinfold is a graphic artist with degrees from Dalhousie University and the Vancouver Film School. He started his internet career with Stratford Internet when there were only four employees. It soon grew to employ over 400 people and was know for it's multi-million dollar web communities. As well as its award winning designs it was recognized for its innovative human resource ideas. Eric was one of the head producers before he left Vancouver for the quieter waters of the Roberts Creek, BC where he does feelance work for Blitzen.
Please compare our services and prices with other well established firms. We can offer lower prices because we have lower overhead, and with our smaller size we can change at the same pace as technology.
Blitzen means lightning or flash in German, a suitable name for an internet company where the technology is changing everyday.
