Marc Butler Interview - Food Finds, Food TV
When Marc was the part owner of www.LobsterDirect.com he set up a day for Food Finds to come and video tape how the virtural business worked.
We started the day at Fisherman's Market, the Canadain Supplier for Lobster Direct and we had a tour of their lobster pound. After we headed out past Mahone Bay to a lobster boat where we went for a mock fishing experience. The it was not lobster season in that area so we needed to get an official license from the Department of Fisheries to drop an empty lobster trap in the water and pull it up again. The great thing about TV is the editing, we threw in an empty tray, pulled it up again, filled it with lobsters from Fisherman's Market, threw it back in and filmed us lifting it out of the water.
After our fun on the water we went to my mother in law's oceanfront home in Chester to have a lobster feast on her deck.
We couldn't have asked for a better day, the weather was perfect and everything went off just as we planned it. The best part was when the crew put down their cameras and sound equipment and had some lobster, potato salad and a few glasses or wine or beer.
